Dow Jones stock Nike (NKE) reported better-than-expected earnings results late Monday. In extended trading, Nike shares rose more than 2% before falling 3% on weaker-than-expected earnings. The stock ended Monday about 38% from its 52-week high.

According to IBD MarketSmith chart analysis, Dow Jones leader Johnson & Johnson is in buying range past the 181.84 buy point of a double bottom in the wake of Friday’s 1.5% breach. Shares of JNJ were slightly lower on Monday.

Drug giant Merck broke past the 95.02 buy point from a flat base on Monday but finished just below the entry point after rising 1.4% from the session. The 5% buy area goes to 99.77.

AZO shares broke past a head on Friday with the handle’s buy point of 2,130.60 and are in the buy rain at 2,237.13.
Friday’s IBD stock, Bristol Myers, continues to move above the buy point of 78.72 on a flat basis after Monday’s 1.3% gain. The 5% buy zone rises to 82.66.

Tesla shares lost 0.3% Monday, returning a small portion of Friday’s 4.5% advance. The stock is still well below the 50 and 200-day moving averages.

Dow Jones Leaders: Apple, Microsoft
Dow Jones stocks traded unchanged on Monday but are still at their highest since June 9. Still, the store is well below its long-term 200-day mark and is about 23% lower than its 52-week high.
Software leader Microsoft lost 1.05% on Monday as it tested resistance around its key 50-day line. The stock closed about 24% from its 52-week high.
